Why Your Coaching Offer Isn’t Selling on Social Media (Even If You’re Booked Out in Therapy)

You are SO good at building connections IRL that you’ve never had to REALLY show tf up on socials as a therapist and now the cracks are showing…
Growing your therapy practice was a BREEZE. Clients refer people to you what feels like daily because let’s be real- you’re THAT good. You do a speaking event? Five people are already in your DMs wondering how they can work with you. You went self-pay? And almost all of your clients made the switch with you...
Honestly, you only use your therapy account on IG to yap and connect with other therapists. And that’s worked for you, mostly because, you never really NEEDED to sell anyone into working with you.
BUT, now that you’re ready for the next level in your life and want to step into the coaching/ mentoring space....
you’re starting to realize this is a whole NEW ballgame.
You’ve never done this type of work before. So, talking about it feels unnatural- you don’t even know where to begin.
And now, when you talk about your coaching/mentorship online you’re not getting the same level of demand.
You’re thinking, “my ideal client is the same and I KNOWW them” so why aren’t people lining up to be inside???
It’s not that your offer isn’t good- because it’s absolutely fabulous. OBVI you created it...
It’s that the level of client who would be interested in your coaching offer is NOT the same person as the one’s on your therapy couch aka you’re speaking to the WRONG person.
Sure, you may have a couple of therapy clients that would be a good fit for this offer, and yeah, you LIKE all of your clients- you work with a very niche group of individuals. BUT that doesn’t mean your ideal client for therapy is the same as for your coaching/ mentorship.
Since talking about your new offer feels unnatural, mostly because you’re new to this kind of work, when you start to talk about it, you have the same person in mind as for your 50-minute sessions. So, you end up speaking to someone, who in theory, could be a good fit for your offer, but isn’t in the mindset for something so high-touch and a bigger commitment as your new space.
Which is why you’re getting met with price objections, people joining your email list, saving your posts, and commenting “this is so helpful,” but no one actually jumping in, or “I need to think about it,” Susans who end up ghosting you.
You aren’t speaking to what people actually need to hear to immediately go “oh that’s ME!! I need this offer” and that’s because you’re not speaking to the level of client that WOULD feel called up, but rather someone who’s in victim mode.
This is exactly what I teach you how to do in my coaching space.
Inside you learn how to get clear on WHO your offer is for + what they need to hear to feel called up to work so that when you talk about your coaching/mentorship? They’re already in by the time they DM you, all they’re looking for is the payment link.
Building relationships in real life is still a powerful tool, but when you want to step into your next level and reach people at a larger scale with confidence- you need to know how to translate your power into your content messaging.
& when you want to do that...
You jump into my coaching space.
