As an ever-growing business, it is necessary to constantly update and adapt your appearance in the Networking world. You have to find what your target audience is looking for and ensure how you present yourself aligns with your brand. If you are new here, my goal is revolved around ALIGNment in your brand to your message. When your viewers click on your page, do they know; who you are, what you do, and who you serve? If you cannot answer that question fully with a yes, it’s time you re-examine your Marketing Strategy.

I recently came to the conclusion that my own message was not aligning with my brand. So, to live up to my own name, it is time that I adapt and make the necessary changes. My first step was to optimize my bio on my Instagram page. I wanted a more precise, easy-on-the-eyes bio that fits who I am, what I do, and who I serve in less than 150 characters.

If you cannot tell a potential client…you’ll lose them.

I love the idea of a quick sum-up. I tend to ramble and get lost in my words. I am the type to tell a 2-minute story in 15. So, being able to say something using a limitation on length helps me. You can lose people in 2 seconds. That is why a straight-to-the-point strategy is always going to work. I believe it was Einstein that said similar words; if you can’t explain the meaning behind the words or things you say, you do not honestly know what you are talking about. If you cannot tell a potential client what you do and why they should work with you in a confident and precise response…you’ll lose them. Be prepared for follow-up questions, and only offer what you know you can do or within your means. That is also the importance of niching down and sticking to one type of service such as Admin Assistance. Make content that aligns with what your expertise is. If your bio says you provide Admin Support and your content is on how to create content that sells…you are confusing your audience. Your dream clients will not work with you if you are not showing up and giving knowledge on your services, what you can do, and why they need you because they do not see how you can help by the way you present yourself. In other words; your actions don’t match what you say.

Besides your content and the page’s initial look, how you market yourself also matters.

Are you engaging with the right people? Are you building connections with others outside of your target audience? Do you Network on multiple platforms? How’s your overall outreach? Let’s examine these questions’ importance to you and your business.

Engagement: You should talk with your ideal clients daily because that’s how you build connections and gain them as clients. You should also be replying and giving attention to those in surrounding areas of expertise, as this will be how you learn, research, and build meaningful relationships that can lead to referrals. If your audience likes you, they will talk about you positively to others and be your support and guidance. Bonus points to connecting with those in your expertise, as they can provide you with the tools and resources you need. We could all learn from one another, and the best part of this community is that we can lift each other up. I want to see you succeed, and so do your virtual neighbors.

Networking/ Outreach: The best way to reach your audience is to make yourself known. Put yourself where they are, and be in their circles. Optimizing your presence is by being everywhere you can be. To do this, you must be on multiple platforms and talk to everyone. You never know who may need your services or who can be a reliable connection in the future. How you present yourself matters. Treat everyone as if they are the CEO. Treat them with the same respect you would expect. Everyone deserves a friend, and showing up this way provides a sense of reliability, comfort, and trust they can have with you. Take this outside of the online world as well. Everyone you meet is part of your story, which applies vice versa. The mark you leave on someone if even for a moment, can change that person’s outlook entirely.

There is no room for confusion when you are being clear

How do you know your Market Strategy is not working and it’s time for a new brand? Market Strategy is only effective if used properly. If you do not see any results (positive or negative), it may be time to look inward. It’s not that your ideal client isn’t out there; it’s either they do not know they need your services, know you exist, or know what you exactly do. To portray these qualities, you need to do your research. Find out what your target audience needs. You can do this in multiple ways. Start by figuring out where your audience is, then reach out to them. Ask questions, build connections, and show up consistently. Once you have your final consensus, create valuable content that provides solutions to their struggles. A guaranteed way to meet the right group of people is by knowing what you can do for them. How can you expect them to find you if you are not continuously researching what it is they are looking for and appealing to it? Some ways you can do this is by SEO research, using the right Hashtags, and making your page as specific as possible. There is no room for confusion when you are being clear.

Your message should align with your brand. Clarity is key if you want to get your message across thoroughly. Precision is a work of art, and mastering it takes time. Creating a name for yourself is something you will have to build up and critique every day. Take it one step at a time, and soon enough, you will be in a position where you don’t have to look for your ideal client; they will be coming to you. You are the missing piece of their puzzle. They just need to realize it.

Show the world who you are and utilize the power of Market Research.
